Extending Court Life Through Strategic Resurfacing at Red Oak High School

Tennis Court
High School
Midwest

Location:

Red Oak, TX

Facility Type:

Tennis Court

Challenge:

Red Oak High School tennis court resurfacing became necessary after the facility's eight-court post-tension concrete surface showed signs of wear affecting safety and playability. The courts had become faded and slick with visible cracking, and several net posts had begun to lean. One court near the main entrance also showed localized surface lifting after power washing exposed weakened coating areas. While the concrete base remained structurally sound, the courts required targeted repairs to restore safe playing conditions and extend their lifespan.

Solution:

Pro Track & Tennis implemented a strategic resurfacing plan designed to restore performance while preserving the existing post-tension concrete base. All cracks were addressed using full crack treatment, with additional attention given to Court 6 near the entrance where surface lifting had occurred. The courts were then resurfaced with two professional color coats, finished in a clean, high-contrast color scheme to improve visibility and traction. Leaning net posts were corrected through selective replacement to restore proper alignment and functionality. By focusing on targeted repairs, surface restoration, and equipment improvements, the project delivered a safer, more consistent playing surface that looks refreshed, performs reliably, and extends the usable lifespan of Red Oak High School’s tennis facility.
