Fresh Start for St. Joseph’s 12 Tennis Courts
Location:
St. Joseph, MO
Facility Type:
Tennis Courts
Challenge:
In St. Joseph, MO, the 12 tennis courts, built on asphalt more than 20 years ago, had last been resurfaced in 2019. With the surface beginning to show signs of wear, both the city and schools recognized the need to extend the life of the facility while keeping it safe and playable for students and the community. Timing was critical — the project had to fit within the current year’s budget and be scheduled around the busy school sports calendar.
Solution:
Pro Track and Tennis partnered with the city and schools to deliver a cost-effective resurfacing plan that protected the existing asphalt base while restoring the courts to peak condition. With careful scheduling, we ensured minimal disruption to school activities. The courts were resurfaced with a high-performance coating system designed to withstand heavy use and Midwest weather, giving athletes a smooth, durable surface for years to come. Today, St. Joseph boasts 12 refreshed courts that meet the needs of both the city and its schools — a true win-win for the community.
