Drew Central High School Tennis Courts Get a Fresh Green and Red Finish

Location:
Monticello, AR
Facility Type:
Tennis Court
Challenge:
Drew Central High School’s three concrete tennis courts showed significant wear. About 1,630 linear feet of cracking ran across them, the playing surfaces were uneven, and in places the coatings had worn down to bare concrete. The school wanted to restore its aging courts as part of a larger push to improve its athletic facilities and grow its tennis program.
Solution:
Our crew repaired about 1,630 linear feet of cracks and smoothed the uneven areas before resurfacing all three courts with one coat of acrylic resurfacer and two color coats, a green playing surface with a red surround. We finished with fresh white tennis striping and 10-and-under youth tennis lines.
The renovation supports Drew Central’s growing tennis program. With a new coach focused on expanding participation, the restored courts give student-athletes a much better place to play.
