New Foundation at Evelyn K. Davis Courts Prepares for Vibrant Mural
Location:
Des Moines, IA
Facility Type:
Basketball Courts
Challenge:
The basketball courts at Evelyn K. Davis Park, a central gathering spot for the King-Irving Neighborhood, required careful preparation after newly laid concrete was installed. The project aimed to create a space that not only enhanced recreational opportunities but also reflected the cultural and historical significance of the area. With input from the community and a vision for a state-of-the-art facility, the goal was to transform the courts into a destination for basketball while fostering community pride.
Solution:
Pro Track and Tennis prepped the court surfaces by applying a base color coating to create a smooth and resilient foundation for the mural. This process set the stage for a vibrant, artistic transformation that will enhance the courts and serve as a community centerpiece for years to come.
