Indoor Pickleball and Basketball Court Coated in Rexford, MT
Location:
Rexford, MT
Facility Type:
Pickleball | Basketball Court
Challenge:
A homeowner in Rexford, Montana wanted a recreational court inside an enclosed, heated building. Instead of repairing an old surface, the project started with a newly poured concrete floor that had to be prepared and coated to work for both pickleball and basketball.
Solution:
Our crew acid washed the new 50' x 70' concrete slab, about 3,500 square feet, to prepare it for coating. We then applied acrylic resurfacer and acrylic color coats, finishing the playing area in navy blue with a dark green section either side of the net and a gray surround. Game lines mark one pickleball court with a basketball overlay on the same floor.
The result is a year-round indoor court where the homeowner can play both sports whatever Montana’s weather is doing. Putting two sports on one surface also made full use of the building without needing separate playing areas.
