Sergeant Bluff-Luton Track Gets a Fresh Black Finish

Challenge:

Sergeant Bluff-Luton High School's black base mat track was structurally sound, with no significant cracking. The surface was due for maintenance, though. Restoring its appearance and protecting the existing system meant acting before small issues grew, and a few minor areas needed patch work along the way.

Solution:

Our crew cleaned and prepared the track, completed the necessary surface patching, and protected the adjacent turf field before resurfacing began. We then applied two coats of black structural spray and finished with fresh striping for the main track, chute, high jump area and runway.

The project renewed the track's sharp black finish while preserving the existing base mat system. Sergeant Bluff-Luton now has a refreshed, competition-ready facility in time for the start of fall athletics.
