St. James Track Goes from Black to Red

Challenge:

St. James Public Schools’ 8-lane black latex track was structurally sound, with no visible cracking. The surface dated back to roughly 2016 or 2017, though, and had moderate wear and fading, especially in lanes 1 to 3. The district wanted a cost-effective way to extend its usable life without a full replacement.

Solution:

Our crew refinished the 8-lane track, including the chute, D-zone and high jump area, and runways, with a new resurfacing system that took the surface from black to a sharp red. We finished the job with fresh striping throughout.

The change from black to red transformed the look of the facility, giving St. James a brighter, more traditional track while extending the life of the existing surface. Athletes now have an updated facility for practices and competition.
