Transforming Vision into Reality: Pro Track & Tennis Builds 10 Stunning Pickleball Courts at Buffalo County Fairgrounds

Pickleball is booming in popularity, and the Kearney Pickleball Club is at the forefront of that growth in Nebraska. Thanks to the dedication of the club and the expertise of Pro Track & Tennis, the Buffalo County Fairgrounds now boasts a top-notch pickleball facility that’s wowing players and the community alike.

From Taped Lines to Painted Perfection

For years, the Kearney Pickleball Club made do with taped lines on repurposed tennis courts. While functional, this temporary solution demanded constant upkeep and fell short of delivering the ideal playing experience. With funds raised during the “Give Where You Live” campaign, the club turned to Pro Track & Tennis to create a facility that reflects their passion for the sport.

John Osgood, president of the Kearney Pickleball Club, shared their journey:

“We spent nearly two years building up the funds to transform this space. When we found Pro Track & Tennis, their bid was perfect, and their work exceeded our expectations. Now, we have 10 beautiful pickleball courts that are a joy to play on.”

A Collaborative Process

Osgood praised Pro Track & Tennis for their communication and craftsmanship:

“Throughout the project, their team kept us informed and worked with incredible efficiency. Even with just two individuals on-site, the transformation was remarkable.”

The color scheme—stadium blue courts with white boundary lines—was chosen for its simplicity, cost-effectiveness, and visibility for players of all ages.

A Community Thrilled with the Results

The reaction from the community has been overwhelmingly positive. When the courts were completed, the Buffalo County Fairgrounds Board was blown away by the transformation. Players now enjoy a facility that rivals the best in the region, with Osgood noting:

“These courts have made such a difference. The response from the community has been fantastic, and we’ve already recommended Pro Track & Tennis to others.”

Building a Champion Facility

This project is a testament to what’s possible when passion and expertise come together. The new courts not only elevate the quality of play, but also position the Kearney Pickleball Club as a regional leader in the sport.

As the club continues to grow, plans are already in the works for future enhancements, and Pro Track & Tennis will undoubtedly play a role in those upgrades.
